I'm sure I've seen a post here recently about a blacklist function on
Siemens Gigaset systems along the lines of hang up call, enter block
code and the ringer wont be activated for that number in future.

Can't find anything in the manual for my system (S685 IP) and googledar
is failing me, was I imagining it?

I want to find full chapter and verse before experimenting as I want to
be sure I can reverse any blocks applied in error.

Any ideas?

You can allocate different ring tones to different numbers, so maybe
there is a blank ring tone?

Thanks for your reply.

Dialling plans appear to control outgoing connections only,
unfortunately no mention of incoming call barring.

Mine doesn't have such a useful feature that I can find. It would be
nice to have an option in the telephone directory to add drop call by an
entry.

Our old fax machine has a bank of about 9 user selected numbers on a
"drop call" list which used to help a little.

However I've just seen a useful looking gadget that might help
http://www.cprdistribution.com/cpr-call-blocker/

Ah - sorry Fred, I misread your original question.

As far as I am aware blocking an incoming call on a basic Gigaset setup
is not feasible.
